Toowoomba Flower Festival - September 2009
Well did we not have a wonderful trip to see the Gardens!
Thank you so much for all the hassles we caused before we even set off. Pat [Tour Hostess] was able to keep us under control most of the time. We would recommend the trip highly to anyone interested in going next year.
Once again a big thank you on behalf of our members.

Just a few lines to thank you and your employees on the wonderful experience you treated us to on the Mildura, Renmark & Broken Hill trip just completed.
We are sure we could not squeezed any more sight seeing in with the appointed time.
Your Driver was excellent, he had every thing organised, where ever we arrived the timing was perfect.
Barbara [Tour Hostess] looked after us as though we were her own; the meals whether in a park or cafe were excellent.
Congratulations on a perfect tour and particularly to your staff. We would recommend your company to any one.
Thanks again.

Tasmania Top To Toe - January 2008
Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time I had in Tasmania.
Everything went great and I must tell you that our hostess Yvette was great.
She did a marvelous job and worked very hard.
She had the whole coach laughing all day and gave everybody so much attention.
The whole group got on so well together.
The places we stayed at were great and the food was terrific.
The lunches that Yvette made were wonderful and so filling.
The only problem is that I have gained so much weight that I to now work hard to get it off.
Congratulations for organising such a great trip.
Rita Simiana.
Batemans Bay, Berry & Mogo - January 2008
Thank you for a lovely 3 day trip to Batemans Bay, the company of the ladies was most enjoyable, lovely food, and the driver/hostess most obliging and courteous.

Bus brings Christmas cheer
IT WAS a bus ride with a difference - happy passengers enjoying a first-class view of some of Sydney's best Christmas light displays.
Thousands of people have been opting to take the tour bus to visit the Christmas lights this festive season, touring the most popular sites.
Rhys Giddey, owner and operator of Comealong Tours, said they have been booked out this month with different groups visiting the various hot spots each night. He said the best spots included Barwon Cres and Flanders Ave, Matraville; Mackenzie Place, Kearns and Mt Annan's The Cascades and Chain-o-Ponds Circuit.
Members of the St Bernadette's Seniors' Group took the bus this week to Mt Annan and according to the group's president Rudolf Szibrowski, the houses were impressive.
"We came here a couple of years ago and I think they've improved since," Mr Szibrowski, 64, of Blacktown, said.
Angie Delara, 61, took the tour for the first time and said it was nice to enjoy the light exhibitions with friends.
"You could go by yourself but it's good to be part of a group. We've enjoyed every minute of it," the Quakers Hill resident said.
The tour included a ride of the RiverCat to the city and then a look at the light displays in town before heading out to Mt Annan.
The City of Sydney and Blue Mountains Bus Co also offered tours of suburban and city light displays.
Warren and Alison Bishop - who have spectacularly decorated their Chain-o-Ponds Circuit house - said they had been getting busloads of people to their area this year as well as locals.
"We've been getting thousands of people coming to the house. It's nice to see the kids' faces. That's what Christmas is all about," Mrs Bishop said.
Christian and Donna Boughton have decked out their house in a massive Christmas exhibition, which includes Mr Boughton dressing up as Santa each night to greet children at their Waterworth Drive, Narellan Vale home.
"We enjoy watching the children's faces and it brings a bit of joy to the neighbourhood," Mrs Boughton said.
Replicas of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House are flashing in the front yard of Richard Kerslake's Westbrook Ave. Wahroonga home.
The words "Aussie Aussie Aussie" are also emblazoned in lights, along with "Ho, Ho, Ho" and "Peace on Earth".
"It all started with decorating one tree with lights, but the Australia theme developed," Mr Kerslake said. "We wanted to come up with something that's a little bit different than everyone else's but to keep it in the Christmas spirit and put a bit of Australia in there."
Engadine Probus Club – Broken Hill & Mildura Tour – March 2007
I would like to thank Betty & Rhys Giddey for a wonderful tour taking in 3 States with a wide range of sightseeing over the 8 days. Everything went like clockwork with all day outings accommodation and meals just great.
Thanks again.

What a great trip this was. It had everything from the mines of Cobar and Broken Hill to the cruising on the Murray River to the Mansions and Homesteads, including a call to ‘Tyntynder Homestead’ to be entertained by an inimitable Glynis Pitts, to happy hours, Barbeque by the pool, even eating stolen fruit. Congratulations and many thanks to Bill for his great organising and management of the tour and to Alan for his work and efforts in making this an excursion that will be long remembered by a grateful and happy bunch of Probarians.

Wow!
We saw “our wide brown land” in so many exciting places. We traveled the great outback from Burke & Wills camping site to beautiful old mansions & squatters old homesteads old country towns loaded with bountiful fields of produce (which we sampled). We learnt about mining, the hardship of the old days and the new modern techniques. We cruised the mighty Murray on a lovely sunny day. We watched the desert sunset on the Mundi Mundi plains & we saw it rise over the water at our motel at Deniliquin. We moved through three states and had many “happy hours” there was bacon & eggs by the pool when we did not have to leave early. Most of all there was fun & laughter everyday; AND you cannot get that sitting at home.
Thanks to Bill Smith for all his hard work in organizing the trip etc. and to Alan in keeping our grey matter working.
Well done, a great trip.
